Immanuel – God with us

God is with us:

It is good to know God is Omnipresent (everywhere at one time), it Is one of His attributes. Coinciding with this is the attributes of Omniscience (all knowledge) and omnipotence (all power).  These concepts are a bit much for us to understand, but God knows this:

Isaiah 55:8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are my ways, your ways”

God fills His creation and is universally present in person, in understanding and in power at all times.  God is with us.

Acts 17:27 “ That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after them, and find Him, though He might not be far from us”

Personal Level:

Gods Holy Spirit indwells us/believers

Only happen when you are born again:

John 3:3 “Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily I say unto thee, except if a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”

1 John 5:11-12 “ Whoever has the Son, has life” Tells us that its Jesus who indwells in us

John 14:23 “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching, my father will love them and we will come to them and make our home with them”

Christ in us:

Gal 2:20 Paul says “Christ lives in me”

Gal 3:5 Paul says that God has given us His spirit

Gal 3:26-27 talks about believers are “baptized into Christ” and “we are clothed with Chris” “We have put on Christ”

One of the many titles of Jesus is Immanuel “God with us”

Matt 1:23 “A virgin will bring forth a child, and thee shall call Him Immanuel, God with us”

When Jesus came into this world, he was truly, literally “God with us”

Because we know “God is with us” we will never be separated from Gods love:

Rom 8: 38-39 “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our lord”

1 Cron 22: 17-19 assurres us that we can accomplish His will for us.

Heb 13:5 talks about Gods presence overcomes our fear, worry and dissatisfaction “Never leave you, nor forsake you”

Rom 8:26 The Holy spirit is always helping us to pray

We are told to pray without ceasing 1 Thes 5:17

Which means we should maintain an attitude of prayer, and receptiveness in order to verbalize prayer to God whenever He leads

God is near His Children Ps 34:15 “The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous and His ears are open unto their cry”

So what shall we say then!

The Holy spirit will lead us

We will have no fear if we have a God fear of God
